moon tree Planting ceremony
“Houston, we have a Moon Tree!”
Be a part of this one-of-a-kind opportunity for the Moon Tree Foundation! Founded by Apollo 14 Astronaut, Col. Stuart “Stu” Roosa’s daughter, the Moon Tree Foundation is a direct link to the Apollo missions to the moon.
The Moon Tree Foundation is carrying on this living legacy from the Apollo program by propagating second-generation moon trees. We are a 501(c)(3) educational organization, with the motto of “Planting the Seeds of Inspiration.”
Be a part of space history by planting a moon tree! The Moon Tree Foundation inspires the youth and others about science and space. The moon trees are a living legacy showing that our earth is a finite resource in which we must take care of for “peace for all mankind.”
Our current goal is to plant 50 moon trees in 50 locations for the Apollo 50th anniversary, along with providing educational and inspirational material to children around the world. In 2019, we worked with Kennedy Space Center to open a Moon Tree Garden at the Saturn V Center for the Apollo 11 anniversary.
If you’re interested in a Moon Tree Ceremony, Rosemary Roosa will present a certified moon tree, along with a spoken presentation, a 15 minute video explaining the history of her father and the space traveling seeds, a memento to commemorate the event, and an option book signing event of To the Moon: An Autobiography of an Apollo Astronaut’s Daughter by Rosemary Roosa. Please leave an inquiry below if you’re interested in rates and availability.
